พิงชก
Ping Chok
Leaning Strike
There are a number of moves in Muay Chaiya that use the opponent's force to add more power to your own attack, and Ping Chok is one of them.
Very similar to Thad Malaa in execution, Ping Chock requires good timing and the confidence to move in against the opponent's strike. Although it can be used against a straight punch, a long hook is much easier for timing, and for taking the opponent's power.
Execution
- Wait for the opponents attack.
- If it's coming from the opposite side, step in. From the same side, slide in.
- Raise your elbow as in Tad Malaa (on the same side as you're opponent's punch)
- The punching hand (non-elbow arm) lifts to the opponent's face level, and lift the elbow - the same as the punch Tim.
- Move in, piercing the opponent's striking arm with your elbow, and take some of the power through your shoulder's to strengthen your own punch to their face.
